
After my honorable discharge from the Navy in 1960, I bought a set of Deagan vibes for my brother Daryl, bongos and congas for Dennis, and a Wurlitzer electric piano for myself. This was the beginning of The Dragons.
In the ‘60s, life in Malibu was all about gigging, surfing, partying, and girls. Nowadays, my hobbies are ham radio and international current events – the concept behind Headline Mews....

In the early ‘70’s, we three brothers all “did some time” with The Beach Boys backup band. In the mid seventies, Doug moved to Hawaii. Around ‘79-’80, he made a name for himself gigging around Australia. Daryl went on to join Toni Tennille as “The Captain”.
I'm still producing and recording bands. Also producing music television and still drumming in my new studio in southern Oregon...
